FRUIT BODY: 2 - 3cm.   A beautiful cup fungus that begins life has a goblet shape and becomes more broadly cup-shaped.  The brown outer surface is covered in slightly darker stiff brown hairs whilst the upperside within the cup is smooth and pale bluish white in colour.  GILLS/PORES: N/A. FLESH: Pale brown and brittle with no distinct aroma. SPORES: Hyaline, elliptical, smooth to slightly warted. HABITAT: In woodlands on soil or wet, rotted wood. SEASON: Infrequent and found in autumn. EDIBILITY: Inedible.
